Caroline Gibbons founded PortiCo Research, the country’s first and leading ethnographic research firm, in 1992. Since then, she has headed up over 500 in-depth research projects, many of which have been for healthcare and retail industry leaders. Her team includes anthropologists, psychologists, documentary filmmakers and brand planners who offer insight, research, strategy and vivid portrayals of the customer in his or
her real life.

Barbara Ruhs, MS, RD, LDN directs the Eat Smart program at Bashas’ Family of Stores, based in Phoenix, Arizona. A former Harvard University dietitian, Barbara has found her niche in honing in on the power of supermarkets to act as catalysts for public health initiatives. Her mission is to change the way we eat in America and enjoys exploring innovative ways to promote
public health. Barbara has a B.S. in Nutrition from Cornell University and M.S. in Nutrition from Boston University. She is a native of New York. |
